The story began in the west of Ireland in 1995. IrishJobs.ie was founded by John Feeley, an entrepreneur who recognised the value the internet could bring to the recruitment industry. In 1999, the company was acquired by the Groups shareholders, Denis O’Brien and Leslie Buckley. Significant investment in the company’s Sales, Marketing and IT operations resulted in Irishjobs.ie becoming Number One in Ireland’s online recruitment market in 2000 and has remained there ever since.
In 2000, NIJobs.com was launched to service the online recruitment needs for the Northern Irish market. We then expanded our presence in Ireland with the acquisition of Jobs.ie in 2003.
The global expansion of Saongroup began with the launch of our regional network of sites in the UK which now operates under the MyJobGroup.co.uk brand. The expansion continued from Europe to Asia to Africa and the Americas and we now have over 500 websites operating in 30 markets and over 3000 staff. We continue to expand to exciting new markets while growing our business within the markets we already operate.
